Pospischil Franz |
| Name 2: |
Heckli Josef |
| Location: |
Lovas, Putinci |
My family lived in Lovas (from about 1880 to 1940) S.E.of
Vukovar. My father Johann born in Putinci, was the son
of Franz Pospischil. Whom did he marry? Where did he
come from?
Josef Heckli married Magdalena Stutz. Children:- Anna,
Jacob & Barbara (my mother) Magdalena's parents were
Christian & Anna (Baron) Stutz.
Again where did they come from prior to Lovas? Where
can I find colonization records? What origins are these
names? Any information would be appreciated, thank you.

The names sound Austro-Hungarian - they were probably
"Volksdeutsche", many of whom settled in that
area way back during the 19th century, or earlier
Sorry to tell you, but your search might be frustrated
by the fact that most records in and around Vukovar
were destroyed during the last war in Croatia
Stil, it might be worth while to write to the local
churches:-
