Vinko and Josipa Kinkela were parents of 2 brothers
that came to the US in 1907 and 1908. Am searching for
information on the rest of the family as Vinko said
there were other brothers and sisters at home - and
of course the parents of Vinko and Josipa for genealogical
reasons.
Thanks, Nadine |

My Grandparents Joseph Kiss who married Karolin Kovacs
were dealers in horses and also my grandfather was groom
to the Jankovich family in the early 20 century. Grandmother
had 16 children and fostered many more.
I am looking for the actual place were Terezovac was
so that I can contact the church for baptismal certificates
of my grandparents children and maybe their marriage
certificate.

There is no such
place as "Terezovac" - but there is
a Suho Polje in Bosnia & Herzegovina,
and there is a Suhopolje in Croatia, in
the Viroviticko-Podravska county (location shown
on map)
Since the main church is situated on Trg Sv Terezije
in Suhopolje, is it possible that "Terezovac"
might have been misconstrued?? |

In which case you might be able to get some information
from the following:-
Opcina Suhopolje

Fax +385/33//771546 Katolicka crkva, pozeska nadbiskupija

Thank you for your comment Webmistress but if there
is no such place as Terezovac why is it on Baptism Documents
and others such. Family in the past know of it and I
have a post card of it with the name on the front? So
as I have all this information, although not that much
there must be such a place, maybe it has changed its
name to...........?

Webmistress' comment
Marianne - I deffinitely could not find that place on
any map; yes, it is possible it has changed the name;
Opcina Suhopolje should be able to tell you
Does your postcard have a date when it was printed,
location, or the printing company?
If you find out any more about it I'd sure be happy
to stand corrected |

My married name is Kathleen Guerre, my maiden name being
Klobuchar. I'm looking for info on my paternal grandparents,
Anna (Plesha) Klobuchar and Andrew Klobuchar.
Anna Plesha was my grandfather's second wife, the first
possibly being Mary Stiminovich or Stimitovich who died
in the US. A child, Peter Klobuchar, was born to them.
Then my grandfather married Anna Plesha, I believe in
Croatia, and brought her back to the US, to East Chicago,
Indiana, where they had five children.
Robert (1915), Anthony (1916), Charlotte (Dolly Ann)
(1918), William (bd ?), and Rudolph (bd?).
My grandfather Andrew was a businessman and owned a
lot of property, and at the time of his death he owned
the Dr. Pepper Co. in East Chicago, Indiana. At one
time he was listed in a volume of Who's Who in Indiana.
I believe he was born in Croatia in 1885. He died in
August, 1951. Anna Plesha was born in either Croatia
or Slovenia on Jan 1, 1898. She died at a nursing home
in Hammond, Indiana in l987. The son Peter, born to
Andrew and Mary Klobuchar was born in 1909. He is still
living in Munster, Indiana, and he said his mother died
when he was three yrs old, which would be 1912.
Andrew had a brother David who came to live in the US
also. Anna (Plesha) had two brothers - ones name was
Mike and he lived in Minnesota. Either he or his other
brother who lived in Minnesota also, but whose name
I don't know, owned a tavern, possibly in Gilbert Minnesota.
There are many cousins of my generation here in the
US, but none of us know much about our grandparents'
ancestry and would appreciate any info anyone can add
to this family's history.

My full name is Elizabeth Devich or Devicic(h) in the
Croatian language.
I am also related to Josip Gobach from Zagreb - he taught
Economics at the University of Zagreb. I also want to
find anyone with the last name of Skender. That was
