...Chienda; Bogich

Posted by: Fernando Chienda on July 2, 2001 - Family Chienda /Bogich

Name 1: Stephan Chienda Stipelkovic
Name 2: Maria Bogich Bellatin
Location: Yugoslavia

My name is Fernando Chienda and I am from Peru. I am searching more information about my great-grandparents. I know they came from the Austria-Hungarian Empire, now this territory belongs to Yugoslavia.

My great-grandfather arrived to Peru around 1873. He came with his brothers Santiago, Frana and others. He established here and he had many mining companies in Cerro de Pasco, Peru. He returned to Austro-Hungarian Empire in order to get married with Maria Bogich Bellatin. Then he returned to Peru. They had 10 children, one of them is my grandfather Miguel Chienda Bogich.

The third picture that you show belongs to my family. They are my great-grandparents.

Name 2: Pijo Cop
Location: Hreljin, Croatia, Yugoslavia

My great grandfather was a Chopp. He immigrated to northern Minnesota in 1910 from Hreljin, Croatia, Yugoslavia. He was born there in 1891.

Any information possible would be helpful. I know a birthdate and death date, but I don't know much about his parents or where exactly he came from.
Thanx

Name: Chunko; Cunko
Location: Chunkova Draga

My father was born in the village of Cunkova Draga and I have been told it is near Karlovac. A missionary who recently went to Karlovac made inquiries for me in Karlovac, but no one seemed to know of such a village. Could you tell me where the village is located and the nearest city. I hope to visit Croatia and would like to visit my fathers birth place.

...Cvetkovich

Posted by: Donna Blend (nee. Cvetkovich) on April 4, 2001

Name: Nikola Cvetkovic
Location: Delnice

I'm looking for information about the Cvetkovic families. My grandfather Nikola Cvetkovic was born in Delnice, Sept. 8 1903. He came to the United States when he was 3 years old.

I would like to find out where Delnice is located and why he left to come to the U.S. at that time. Also I would like to find out if there are any other relatives of mine still in Delnice or the surrounding area.

Thank you for the information in advance. If you would have a copy of a map that could show me where the old Croatia was located I would really appreciate it.
Donna
