Privacy.net Traced Over the Internet - Privacy.net demonstrates how things like cookies, electronic footprints and executable files can be used to track anyone's usage patterns on the Internet. In fact, it's as much a statement about privacy issues as an explanation of Internet technology. Some of it is a bit technical but overall the message is pretty clear. To reinforce that message, they've set up an online experiment to show exactly how your activities can be tracked across the entire Internet network. Scary stuff.

If you thought you could surf the web anonymously just by switching off your desktop lamp, think again! Even better, familiarize yourself with How the Internet Works
